  • Ben Smith

    Senior Pastor

    Ben Smith began his ministry at Central Baptist Church in March 2012. Pastor Ben graduated from Shorter University receiving a Bachelor of Science majoring in Christian ministry. Following his time at Shorter, he attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary earning a Masters of Divinity.  He has served churches in Texas, South Carolina, and Georgia. Pastor Ben and his wife, Dana, have 4 children.

  • Tim Kilgore

    Associate Pastor of Families

    Tim Kilgore began his service at Central Baptist Church in November 2004 as the Family Pastor. His service focuses on ministering to the children, students, and the families in our church.  Prior serving at Central Baptist Church, Tim served as Pastor of Students along the Alabama Gulf Coast.  Pastor Tim is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor's of Arts in Communications and Information Sciences. He recently earned a Masters of Divinity at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. In his free time, Tim enjoys playing golf, guitar and cheering on the Crimson Tide! Pastor Tim, and his wonderful wife, Vicki, have been blessed with three children: Joshua, Andrew, and Abby Grace.

  • Bill Blackrick

    Associate Pastor of Worship

    Bill Blackrick began his service at Central Baptist Church as its Worship Leader in 2020.  Prior to serving at Central Baptist Church, Pastor Bill served churches in the roles of youth pastor, worship pastor and senior pastor in Florida. He is a graduate of the Baptist College of Florida receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Theology with an emphasis in Worship Music. Pastor Bill and his wife, Jessica, have two children, Ellie and Adam.

    Laura has served as the Preschool Director at Central Baptist since 2018. Laura and her husband, Jonathan, have been blessed with two children, Maybrie and Hudson.
